Kings of Earth opens a new season to how players simulate civilization in a Minecraft Earth Map! We seek to provide a unique Minecraft civilization experience that capitalizes on player autonomy and balanced custom mechanics. We look forward to the tales of your accomplishments on the server! Currently supporting 1.19.4 Java and the latest version of Bedrock Edition for crossplay.

Kings of Earth is the equivalent of World SMP Season 2! We've undergone a name change and a major overhaul of game mechanics to differentiate ourselves from classic Earth SMP servers and provide new gameplay for our players.

Will Kings of Earth reset?

Kings of Earth currently does not have any set dates as to when or if the server will reset. Currently, we want to avoid such options and fill our server with lore, and have players return to admire their creations. The reason we reset World SMP was that the map had some setup errors that made it difficult to obtain naturally generating materials (such as slime, pandas, ice, etc.). Players also were not interacting as much as we desired. In previous iterations of World SMP, the main issue for the lack of interactions was that players did not need to compete for land because the map was too big and one claim was more than enough to satisfy an empire. In the most recent iteration of World SMP, players did not need to rely on other nations for resources once they obtained the essentials (particularly villagers). In addition, the administration team felt that the current state of the server was stale and had very few differences compared to more established traditional Earth SMP servers (including the name being generic). Any major changes to the server would drastically change the state of the server and it would be ideal if the changes can be initiated with a fresh start for everyone. There are other reasons why World SMP was reset (claim hoarding, no grief prevention, stale resource economy, etc.), but these were the main issues we had noticed in recent months. With the changes being introduced in Kings of Earth, we hope to mitigate any need to reset the server and provide the targetted gameplay we aimed to achieve.
